FOR BUSINESS OWNERS

A conversation, not a commitment.

If you have been approached about your business – or have simply started to wonder what comes next – the first step is a private, exploratory conversation. Talking with us does not mean you are selling. It means you are gathering perspective.

Most owners only go through this once. The people on the other side of a transaction do it for a living, and that imbalance is where good businesses get undersold. We exist to close that gap – to give you context and candor well before any decision is on the table.

An early conversation is simply that. There is no pitch and no pressure. Sometimes it leads to a transaction. Often it just gives an owner a clearer sense of where they stand and what their options really are.

OUR PROCESS

How engagement moves.

01. Qualification

We do the homework first – understanding the business and confirming there is a genuine, well-matched reason to talk before we ever reach out.

02. Discovery

A two-way conversation. We learn about you and your business, you learn about us and any party we represent, and we find out whether there is real mutual interest.

03. Negotiation

If it makes sense to proceed, we move with purpose – no endless data requests, no wasted time – and work toward alignment on the terms that matter.

04. Closing

Once terms are agreed, we coordinate diligence and documentation through to signing, so the deal that was promised is the deal that gets done.

Discretion is central to how we work. Sensitive information is handled confidentially and is not shared without your agreement, typically under a written confidentiality agreement before anything of substance changes hands.

It depends on the engagement, and we will always be clear about it up front. On sell-side engagements we represent you, the owner. On buy-side engagements we represent an acquirer and will tell you so at the outset.
